Threshold - Ingress
After Threshold-Egress, Threshold-Ingress, the second programme of the cultural exchange dance series, is a double-bill dance performance created by the young choreographers from Singapore and Hong Kong. Both works are world premieres performed by five Hong Kong dancers.
Singaporean choreographer Dapheny explores what it means to be an “artworker” with non-traditional working class or “blue-collar” background, that is not categorized yet as belonging to one of these categories, using a provocative dance conversation to reflect uniqueness and diversity. Hong Kong choreographer, the Associate Artistic Director of Passoverdance, Gabbie debuts her first full-length dance creation that explores survival vs. existence—a call for self-reflection.

Gabbie Chan Repertoire Workshop
Guided through the creative process of choreographer Gabbie Chan through dance performance and movement improvisation, participants will gain insights on how to translate their ideas into dance movements to enhance the readability and artistry of the choreography.
Participants should wear comfortable casual clothes for this session.

Dapheny Chen Contemporary Workshop

The workshop offers a unique opportunity to interact with an artist from the international dance scene and to engage yourself in cultural exchange process. Dapheny Chen will share her choreographic process, allow participants to explore her methodologies in choreography, from forming ideas to extensions through movement.
The workshop is suitable for people with contemporary dance experience. Participants should wear comfortable casual clothes for this session.
